
Ingredients
- ½ bowl of kala chana (black gram) soaked in water for 5-6 hours
- ½ bowl of besan (chick pea flour)
- 1 medium sized onion finely chopped
- 5-6 pieces of finely chopped green chilies
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 cup water
- Oil to fry
- Salt per taste

Cooking Instructions
Step 1: Preparing the mixture
- Take the chana out of the water in which it has been soaking for 5-6 hours
- In a bowl add besan, kala chana, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, salt, coriander seeds, coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder and salt
- Mix the dry ingredients well
- Now add water to create a batter of medium consistency
Step 2: Frying the mixture
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan
- Once the oil is hot, use a ladel to pour the mixture in batches of 3-4 in the hot oil to fry
- Let it cook for 2-3 minutes and then flip over to the other side till it is golden brown

- Once both sides are golden brown take out the fritters on a tissue to soak the excess oil
- Kale Chane ka Bachka (Fritters) is now ready to be served with the choice of your chutney or ketchup!
